this house was lovingly remodeled by local architect and builder, christian griffith. the house is located just off the south boulder creek in eldorado springs. the warm woods and earthy finishes complement the natural surroundings of this charming three bedroom home.
the hand-crafted, white oak shaker cabinets in the kitchen are set off by the soft sage green tiles and carrera marble countertops.
the kitchen is filled with light from the numerous french paned windows.
there is both a built-in oak bench and a built-in corner cabinet in the dining room. the oval, marble and brass table is surrounded by vintage moller chairs with navy leather seats. the marble of the table ties back to the carrera in the kitchen and the navy seating coordinates with the palette in the living room.
the built-in hutch houses glassware and serving pieces.
the curve of the chair backs echo the oval shape of the dining table.
the built-in bench is set under an expanse of windows.
a large L-shaped saddle leather sofa is tucked in under the windows looking out at the back garden and creek. the navy and cream moroccan rug also hosts a cozy, deep blue swivel chair and a teak mid-century coffee table. the vintage credenza supports the TV and a record player.
the warm woods and leathers in the living room are complemented by the range of blues in the upholstered and textile pieces.
a clean, burled wood side table houses plants in the corner.
the family room is grounded by the peacock blue sleeper sofa. various shades of blue and teal are present in the thick, felt rug, throw pillows and vintage graphic print. the records are housed in a custom-built shelf by Go Shelves. two mid-century barrel chairs sit in front of the sofa and share the circular felt ottomans/side tables.
the extra high celing allows for a double set of windows.
the extensive record collection is displayed in a vertical shelving unit made of steel and wood.
the large, light gray upholstered bed is flanked by two antique wakefield bedside tables. graphic moroccan ottomans sit at the foot of the bed bringing pattern to the otherwise neutral palette.
soft golds and grays are punctuated by hits of black in the bedroom’s accessories.
classic mid-century table lamps sit on top of the vintage bedside tables.
