interact brand design studio

(the lounge area of the office complete with vintage ads)

interact is a strategic brand design studio that works to solve brand challenges with effective design by driving consumer understanding through data and by changing how brands interact with culture. their roster of clients includes local weather sports drink, widmer brothers craft brew, boxer six tailored cannibis, stem ciders, nestle rallies, nestle hot pockets and country archer jerky among others. when they moved from a large loft into a more intimate space in downtown boulder we wanted to be very thoughtful about how to best design the rooms to allow their team to be able to work creatively and effectively for their clients.

the sunny front room is laid out with a series of desks to the right that supports individual work and an extensive live edge conference table to the left for meetings. the inherent character to the space: exposed brick walls, intricate window frames and stainless, industrial pipes are complemented by interact’s whimsical art pieces and unexpected “objet” placed throughout the agency. a large drum sits under a framed graphic textile piece in the work studio while colorful client artwork is hung stacked on the brick wall beside a lounge chair.

(the generous live edge table allows for larger meetings)

oversized ice cream cones rest on a shelf adjacent to the “lounge” and echo the vintage ice cream ad framed above the sofa. bright red eames chairs bring fun pops of color to the room, balanced by the mid century wood pieces in the nearby dining area. a collection of vintage soda cans are displayed over the round walnut table and an antique hutch houses client packaging.

interact’s extensive book collection is color blocked on a shelf at the end of a hallway, adding to the playful feeling of this creative design space.
