(halloween hank as a turkey! i think he’s worried that we’ll throw him on the thanksgiving table…)

there are two things i love about halloween: dog costumes and candy. all the scary, bloody, gruesome stuff i could really do without. also the WORRY about whether my kids will make it home alive. this year hank is going as a ROASTED TURKEY! i am beside myself because i think his back legs already look like drumsticks.

this year i got to get rosie a costume too! she is dressed as lamb chop. i thought she would like it because that’s her favorite toy but she has a morose hank-like expression that is very unlike her. i haven’t seen her look like that since last halloween… x00xx

* yesterday i finally watched the banshees of inisherin… i thought it was going to be a movie about a grumpy old man friendship in the irish countryside and it WAS, but SPOILER ALERT it was also a halloween movie! there were bloody fingers all over the place… terrifying! usually i don’t watch gory stuff (i only LISTEN to grey’s anatomy when they are doing surgeries - i power through it because that is how i get my medical knowledge!) but by the time the fingers were being chopped off i was so invested in the grumpy old men that i had to finish it. so just beware!
